Number: MER0003XZ7 The Mercedes-Benz Untertürkheim plant has always been the development and competence center for pioneering drive technologies. The powertrain/material technology department is responsible for the development of materials and components of conventional and alternative drives. We actively shape the transformation towards climate-neutral mobility. The following tasks await you as part of the internship: Participation in the planning, supervision and evaluation of test series

Materialographic material characterization

Support for train and fatigue tests

Principle investigations related to additively manufactured components

Implementation of characterization surveys in the field of materials for e-mobility

Modification of material properties by heat treatment

Literature

Ideally, your internship starts in mid-March, but it is also possible to move the start time flexibly.

Study programme in the field of materials/materials sciences, mechanical engineering or a comparable, scientific-technically oriented study programme

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Secure handling of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

Commitment and team skills

Analytical thinking

Strategic and Structured Operation

Communication capability, reliability, organizational capability

Practical experience in material characterization desirable
