Internship in Frontbox & Techtower from April 2026

Be part of our global team: You make the difference – YOU MAKE US Our department is responsible for the reprocessing of NFZ & PKW engines/HV batteries as well as the production in the Competence Center emission-free mobility (KEM). In the KEM, HV batteries are manufactured for trucks and buses, as well as e-drives for vans. In 2024, the FrontBox was added to this production portfolio as a new product. The FrontBox can be called the heart of the fully-electric heavy-duty truck eActros600. Here the functions thermal management, high-voltage distribution and voltage conversion (12V, 24V and 800V) are shown. In addition, the FrontBox serves as an electrical braking unit and as an energy generator for compressed air. In 2026 we extend our activities to produce the so-called techtower. Like the already established FrontBox, the Techtower is a central component for the thermal and energy management of our vehicles. While the FrontBox is specifically designed for the fully electric truck, the Techtower takes over this function in the fuel cell truck. Our team OER-F is responsible for mounting the FrontBox and the Techtower. The production and the team are currently underway after a successful production start in October 2024.
