Head of the Health Care/Rehabilitation Department

Your future team: As the main department, we initiate and organize the technical and social policy exchange with and between accident insurance companies, companies, insurers, the medical sector, other social security, ministries and associations. The focus is on fundamental questions about occupational accidents, occupational diseases and rehabilitation, which follow from norms, legal application and case law. All this is done in close coordination with the self-management of accident insurance. Your tasks: As part of the management of the department, you are responsible for the organisation and coordination of work, the use of personnel and the protection of employees of a total of four units with approximately 28 employees. You take over the further development of processes of the department and support and advise the Head of Division in technical, organizational and strategic terms. Your further tasks include: Cooperation with the members of the DGUV, with the top social security associations, the relevant ministries and authorities and other organisations, including the representation of interests for the DGUV and its members and cooperation with the BG clinics in various bodies conceptual cooperation on the further development and strategic orientation of the DGUV and its members in the technical field of the department Assessment of politically relevant issues, legislative initiatives and legislative projects in the department's field of expertise with regard to their impact and risks, in particular on medical rehabilitation and care, professional and social participation, digitalisation projects in the healthcare sector, as well as operating and investment financing of BG clinics Takeover of lectures, presentations, etc. of particular importance

Completed academic studies with second state exams in the field of law, master or diploma in the fields of political science, social science or health economics In-depth knowledge of the law of accident insurance, of social law in general, as well as an overview of social policy developments relevant professional experience in management in an organisation of social security and/or health care, preferably accident insurance Deep understanding of health and social relations, as well as the mechanism of political will formation/law Very good analytical, strategic and conceptual skills Independent, independent, reliable and structured working methods high leadership and team skills, as well as communication strength and negotiation skills Safe handling of Microsoft 365 products Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing (at least level C1 of the common European reference framework for languages) readiness for regular missions (possibly abroad) and willingness to lecture activities (possibly also abroad)
