We are looking for reinforcement for the real estate law division of the OBI Group. In close cooperation with the relevant business units, the OBI Group's Group's Corporate Legal Division manages and supervises all legal matters of the OBI Group. The real estate law sector is of great economic importance for us as a trading company with a large network of stationary markets in Germany and abroad. As a (Senior) Legal Counsel / Counsel, you take the legal responsibility for the real estate law and real estate business law in close cooperation with the local colleagues abroad.

You legally address all the issues of the OBI Group relating to the real estate portfolio in Germany, with a focus on the creation, extension and modification of commercial lease contracts, including the support of the real-state area in contract negotiations In addition, you also support other topics related to our real estate in Germany, such as electricity supply contracts, cooperation agreements for renewable energies as well as circular economy and sustainability As part of an international working group in the field of real estate law, you develop and implement the national and international standards of the OBI Group in this field in collaborative cooperation with colleagues abroad, including the development of contract patterns and pattern clauses. You know and take into account the regulatory requirements You think commercially and strategically and work closely with the business units concerned to find legal and commercial solutions for the OBI Group You test, evaluate and implement legal developments in real estate and real estate contract law The relevant business areas are supported in all legal issues related to the implementation of the contract, including any disputes and the management of external law firms.

You are a full lawyer (m/w/d) and have at least three years of professional experience in a law firm or in the legal department of a company focusing on real estate and property contract law You are a team player and have fun in bringing you into a very collegial legal department that is characterized by professional exchange and thus promoting OBI You think commercially and strategically and understand yourself as a business partner (m/w/d) for the relevant business areas You have very good analytical and communicative skills You draw your attention through an independent, responsible and solution-oriented way of working You are interested in modern work tools in Legal Tech and AI Very good knowledge of German and English complete your profile
