Professorship (W2) for the Department of Theories and Concepts of Action in Social Work

HAWK is a state university in Lower Saxony with more than 6,000 students. The university is regionally anchored and, in addition, is well connected nationally and internationally. A basis for this is certainly also their roots, which, for example, at the site Holzminden up to the 19. to date. At the HAWK University of Applied Sciences Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen, the following professorship is to be given at the Faculty of Social Work at the Holzminden site as soon as possible: Professorship (W2) for the Teaching Area Theories and Concepts of Social Work The person holding the body shall represent the subject area in particular with the following priorities: Concepts of action and practice of consulting in social work Communication and interaction in social work

One of the tasks is the teaching in the generalistic bachelor's degree programs Social work and social work as well as in the master's degree program Social work in the social-spatial context (from 2024: MA Social work as part of work). The teaching in the BA courses is mainly provided in the forms of action, in particular advice. In addition, teaching is provided in the modules communication and interaction and in the module area action fields (social work with children and young people and/or social work with adult people). In the MA Social Work, the professorship is located in the modules of science communication as well as the leadership of teams and organizations. Requirements are research experiences and publications in the subject area of the professorship, desirable experiences in the application and implementation of third-party projects. A further qualification in the field of consulting, knowledge in digital consulting formats (online and dazzled) are desired. As a matter of course, we require team skills and the willingness to contribute to the academic self-government in a target group-oriented manner to the academic consulting, the representation of the university to the outside and to the academic self-government.

A qualified personality is sought with a completed relevant social and/or spiritual degree, e.g. in social work/social pedagogy, psychology or communication sciences. Applicants must have a pedagogical-didactic suitability confirmed by designated teaching experience and the special ability to intensify independent scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by an above-average doctorate. In addition, special services must be provided in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a professional practice of at least five years, from which at least three years have been carried out in the field of professorship outside the higher education sector. The faculty expects the willingness to network teaching and research in the region.
