The place is limited to minimum. 31 December 2020 Together we develop a central platform for digitizing the E.ON network: iPEN! The Energy Networks (iPEN) information platform ensures that the data of the regional distribution network operators can be centrally bundled and made available. You support us to build the new business insights hub within iPEN, which combines the standard reporting of business processes with AI-based process reporting & mining. The new product is an important tool for distribution network operators to run dashboards for a variety of analyses of business processes on a single data basis. In this way, we increase efficiency, transparency and enable data and fact-based decisions for all distribution network operators within E.ON.

A task that demands

• You support all data integration activities for the new product within the existing iPEN data integration platform (Databricks, Unity Catalog)
• You design and drive the process for connecting the source systems and support the data engineers of the network operators to transform data into the common data model of Energy Networks.
• You actively support and empower the network operator's data engineers to actively contribute to the ETL code base, actively engage in re-use of ETL code between the DSOs and thus ensure cross-border compliance for the transformation logic.
• You implement pipelines for data extraction (ETL pipelines).
• You are responsible for a stable operation of the pipelines for data extraction.

A background that convinces

• Proven experience with the Microsoft Azure technology stack, especially Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Proven multiannual experience in the development of Python, Scala, SQL, Spark and Databricks and in providing cloud-native solutions.
• proven experience in the management of data extraction pipelines.
• Embossed analytical and structured thinking, high organizational skills.
• You have excellent communication skills and are strong in creating concepts.
• You speak German and English fluently.
