System Engineer Standard Software Management (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. System Engineer Standard Software Management (m/w/d) from now on and in full time preferably in Meckenheim or Munich as an alternative nationwide at one of our BWI locations. Our Service Unit Software Management in Digital Workplace is responsible for the technical development and maintenance of software services on the Windows client. Our tasks include Microsoft, Adobe, IBM and HCL products.

Analysis and configuration of new software products as well as the creation of technical specifications for packaging and test automation Coordination of all the technical areas involved and ensuring the quality of the transition to operation, taking into account BSI requirements Advising the Service Managers to further develop the software strategy and ensure the interoperability of the products used Development and preparation of test concepts including support in automation with ALM and responsibility for design and build phases Support of 2nd level support and control of manufacturer communication and further development of standard software services for Windows clients

Complete studies or training in the IT field, e.g. specialist system integration About two years of experience in software analysis, ideally in the field of standard applications and IT architecture Funded knowledge of bundling (MSI, SCCM), in script languages such as PowerShell and ideally experience with IBM Maximo and Atlassian Jira Self-employed, solution-oriented and committed working methods with a high level of readiness and interest in technical development Analytical thinking, empathy and a strong willingness to continuously develop professional and personal skills
