As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

Technical planning is responsible for the integration of all service changes LAN, WAN, WLAN and Unified Communication (Voice and Video) into the existing network infrastructure of the Bundeswehr and the BWI. This includes the core network as well as more than 800 locations distributed throughout Germany by our customer and our own business. Your profile:

• Completed subject-related studies or comparable relevant training
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience with LAN Designs / Engineering as well as LAN-Passiv Infrastructure
• Very good knowledge of network technologies (switching / routing), redundancy rates and network services
• Initiative, learning and analysis skills, team skills
• Result-, customer- and quality-oriented operation
• Organisational skills, analytical skills and communication skills
• German language skills and good English knowledge in word and writing

Your tasks:

• Technical planning, coordination and implementation of changes focusing on LAN / WLAN in the IT infrastructure responsible and application of standard designs
• Documentation of planning (hardware and logic) in the tools
• Identification of non-standard requirements and solutions with architecture or Service Management
• Implementation of planning taking into account the interactions of the services LAN/WLAN, WAN and Unified Communication (Voice & Video)
• determination of technical dependencies and transfer to the downstream areas for consideration in implementation or Implementation
• Participation in projects and coordination with service providers
• Process design and documentation as part of operational optimizations and for rollout projects
