Senior GIS Developer Automation and AI Integration (m/f/d)

GIS and AI – the next innovation: Your focus is on the automation and further development of our GIS workflows. AI integration and internal tool development in the GIS context (and beyond) are a growing part of the role. QGIS plugins and automation: You develop and maintain QGIS plugins, python scripts and automated workflows for recurring GIS analyses – with the aim of systematically reducing processing times. Control project knowledge: You continue to operate and develop our central project database, in which we collect and make the most important key points to our projects. AI tools evaluate and integrate: you evaluierst AI-supported tools in the GIS context and beyond, and integrate them into our products when suitable. Developing standards: You’re puggling and developing our standards in the G team. Share technical knowledge: You bring technical learnings into the team and are the technical knowledge source in the team. For this purpose, modern, GIS-based software tools, digitized processes and templates are available, as well as a cooperative team of like-minded people who actively support you in all questions.

Solid training as a basis: You have a degree in geoinformatics, computer science, geography with a technical focus or a comparable degree course. Python & QGIS development: You write Python code securely and have experience with QGIS, PyQGIS or QGIS plugin development. Spatial databases: Experience with PostgreSQL & PostGIS or other spatial databases is advantageous. Tools and infrastructure: knowledge in Docker, Git or REST APIs are welcome, but no need. You think in systems: If you automate something, do you ask who else needs it and how it needs to be documented?
