Head of Planning and Construction (m/f/d)

General responsibility for the planning and construction department Professional and disciplinary leadership of over 80 assigned employees at Essen and Hagen sites Strategic, structural and personnel management as well as further development of the topics of construction, mechanical and electrical engineering, structural planning and geotechnical engineering, technical constructions and modelling as well as Integrale drainage planning Coordination of complex planning, construction and renovation projects in the area of urban water management and water construction Negotiations with approval and monitoring authorities and with external service providers (including engineering offices) Ensuring an economic, quality-oriented, time- and target-oriented performance of tasks Representation of the Department to Authorisation and Surveillance Authorities and External Project Participants Further development and professionalisation of procurement, contract and follow-up management Proactive support for the culture of change to develop working methods and introduce innovations Cooperation in professional associations and bodies

Complete study of civil engineering or related discipline Multiannual professional experience in planning and construction Multi-year leadership experience Strong skills for efficient problem solving in a complex environment and high level of innovation competence High understanding of digitalization and process understanding for cooperative planning and data management Impressed communication skills and service understanding Representative leadership and strategy competence BIM competences Competences in the design and support of change processes (Change management) desirable Very good knowledge of popular MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) Very good German knowledge (min. C1 level)
