(Senior) Test Architect, Cloud Infrastructure - STACKIT (m/f/d)

Black Digits creates the technological foundation for digital freedom of choice in Europe. As an IT and digital division of the Schwarz Group, we develop and manage the IT infrastructures for the Lidl and Kaufland trade divisions as well as the Black Production and PreZero. At the same time, we act as an independent provider on the external market to support companies across Europe in their digital transformation. We bundle our core services in the areas of cloud, cyber security, data & AI, communication and workspace. You also contribute to the digital freedom of choice in Europe.

With us you work at the interface between agility and security: You benefit from the fast decision-making, enjoy real design spaces in your projects and build on the stable foundation of the Schwarz Group.

The IaaS domain is responsible for the compute, storage and networking standards on which our customers run their workloads. As Test Architect (m/w/d), you can unleash and control the cross-cutting test strategy for our IaaS products. You are responsible for defining how we test across the entire test spectrum. Your mission is to create the automated foundation that proves that our infrastructure service is highly reliable and performant and can be safely and scalable transferred to productive operation.

Design, implement and control a holistic test strategy across all IaaS products that includes unit, integration, staging/smoke and production (live) tests as well as acceptance, configuration, disaster recovery and performance testing. Develop robust, reusable automated test primitive and scaffolding specifically for OpenStack, Kubernetes and distributed API backends as well as Middleware. Integrate automated test reporting deeply into our development and release workflows. Make sure that any code change is automatically verified and checked (gated) before it can be deployed in production. Restructure the test execution to shift the test in previous phases of the development cycle and the dependency chain (shift control). Improve pipeline performance and simultaneously maximize meaningful code coverage. Find errors before reaching the staging environment and validate the performance limits of our infrastructure components under load.
