For the “Simulation Solutions” area, we are looking at the Immenstaad site at the next possible time Software Developer - Training Simulation (w/m/d) In the field of Simulation Solutions, we develop state-of-the-art simulation systems for the military market – from the first idea to the final application. Our Simsphere® Simulation Suite allows to map complex training scenarios as realistically as possible and to make training results measurable. In order to meet the growing requirements for innovative and effective training solutions in the future, we continuously expand our existing solutions and rely on state-of-the-art technologies and creative approaches.

Development and maintenance of the software for our simulation system, in particular in the field of immersive 360° representation using projector systems. Self-adjustment and optimization of software components in C/C++ to control projectors and display 3D environments. Working with OpenGL, Qt and Unreal Engine to improve visualization and evaluation components. Integration of new functions and tools to improve the interactivity and performance of the simulation environment. Maintenance and further development of the existing system, including adjustments and bug fixes to the software and hardware configuration. Close cooperation with the hardware and system integration departments to ensure the best possible performance and user experience. Conducting software tests and debugging to ensure the quality and stability of the developed solutions. If necessary, adapt to the hardware configuration to meet the requirements of the simulation and maximize system performance.

Complete study of computer science, software technology or comparable qualification. Multiannual experience in the development of software with C/C++. Knowledge of the use of Qt Ideally experience in developing hardware-related software for embedded systems. Experience with real-time operating systems – such as VxWorks – desirable. Hands-on mentality and willingness to change and adapt hardware configurations independently if necessary. Good knowledge of software architecture and design as well as performance optimization. Team orientation and the ability to work together in interdisciplinary teams. Self-employed and structured working methods as well as a high problem solving capability.
