The city library consists of the central library (including the children's library) in the glass pyramid, the driving library and the district libraries Böfingen, Eselsberg, Weststadt and Wiblingen. Working hours are based on requirements – especially in the work of events – and the opening hours of the city library. Payment is made up to 11 TVöD.

Responsibility for public relations as a staff member of the Directorate in the overall system and for library tasks strategic conception and further development of the cross-disciplinary public relations work of the city library Ulm Planning and implementation of a holistic PR work with classic (including press work) and new media (including social media, AI tools) graphic design of advertising and information Coordination, design, organisation and implementation of a multi-faceted event and exhibition work (one colleague takes over cultural events, among other things) Information and consultancy services and editorial work Development of a fundraising strategy as well as leading organisation and realisation of concrete projects Partnership management as a development of a system for the development and permanent maintenance of cooperation relations with various actors in the urban society Contact and networking with media, sub-publications, cooperation partners Intercultural opening of the city library Ulm with a focus on networking and community work in an international city with people from more than 140 countries of origin Changes in the area of responsibility remain reserved.

successfully completed studies in the area of library, media and information management, media or communication science, marketing or cultural management multi-year, well-founded practical expertise in public relations for a relevant (cultural) institution well-founded practical knowledge of library work is advantageous well-founded practical expertise of Adobe InDesign software as well as other relevant programs and tools excellent expressiveness in word and writing excellent communication skills as a networker*in strong organisational and negotiation skills and persuasiveness independent working, creativity, ability to act in situ, resilience and flexibility intercultural competences
