System Platform Engineer Mainframe (m/f/d)

You are responsible for the development, operation and further development of the IBM Mainframe environment (e.g. z/OS, SMP/E, Coupling Facility etc.). You develop the technologies and tools used (example: zCX, z/OSMF). Your tasks include automating, monitoring, troubleshooting and documentation of parts of the product range. You will also advise our internal customers on the solutions used. Contributes to Proof-Of-Concepts (POC) incl. evaluating the productive suitability in the R+V host environment within the framework of various Early Support Programs (ESP); e.g. new Z/OS versions with IBM, monitoring tools for connection to the existing monitoring stack or Job Log Monitoring in System Automation with IBM. You are responsible for a stable and economical operation of the mainframe base systems.

You have a high technical expertise in the mainframe base environment. In exchange with colleagues, you show good communication skills and convey a positive spirit. The heart goes to the following terms: highly automated installation of Z/OS, zOSMF Core with available REST services in the DevOps environment, use of software version control GIT. You are enjoying the training and further training as well as the support of employees of the mainframe base in the context of incorporations, introductions, communities and operator trainings. You have an inspiring ability and you can easily convey target images. You have a high level of responsibility and initiative. Agile methods make you fun; You have experience in their adaptation and application. You bring very good German knowledge in word and writing (at least B2).
