Deacon / Religious Education Teacher (m/f/d)

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oldenburg with its approximately 350,000 members in 101 parishes and 6 church circles is looking for an Diakonin /Religionpädagog*in (m/w/d) for the parishes of Jever and Cleverns-Sandel in a temporary part-time employment until 31.12.20IP30 with a total of 50 B.H.

live in the district town of Jever, a state-approved, attractive resort near the coast with diverse cultural and sports offerings, including an outdoor swimming pool and all school forms on site. Celebrate services in different forms in the generous city church (built in 1964) in Jever and monthly in the Frisian village churches in Wiefels, Cleverns and Sandel.

• we work together in the development room with the church community of Wangerland, in which a new IPT was set up.

Our Interprofessional Team

• consists of a managing pastor and a pastor, a circular kantor, a diplomat and a county-jugenddiakonin and the parish district which is now to be occupied.
• organizes the pastoral tasks in both parishes.
• works with gave-oriented emphasis on district-wide.

Your tasks include:

• the basic community work (announcement, pastoral care, teaching and official activities) in cooperation with the team,
• the creation of meeting areas taking into account impulses from the municipality,
• the planning and implementation of various events,
• the management and support of groups and projects for people of different ages,
• to announce the good message with your strengths and gifts.

If you:

• a completed training as a deacon, or a completed theological or educational degree programme with appropriate theological or religious pedagogical qualifications and
• have a training as a predicate, or bring the willingness to

purchase,

• view personal presence in the municipality - if necessary also in the evening and on the weekend - as self-evident,
• joy in human encounters and
• have the will to work together in the interprofessional team and with other main, secondary and voluntary agents across community and competence limits, and
• limiting communication skills and enforcement skills as your strength, we are pleased to receive your application.

We work as a service community and expect you to identify with our ecclesiastical order and to be credible for fulfilling this mission. The place is part of the Interprofessional Team in the parish office. Therefore, membership is in the Ev.-Luth. Church in Oldenburg, or the willingness to justify it before the start of the work.
