Welding Engineer (m/f/d)

GASCADE is one of the largest operators of gas pipelines in Germany with a 3,700 kilometres long pipeline network. We are looking for a dedicated welding specialist (m/w/d) with permanent outward activity at the next possible time for the “Montage” department.

You ensure that the welding technology in pipeline and station pipe construction for natural gas and hydrogen projects meets the applicable standards and quality requirements. You work closely with test and acceptance organisations, perform non-destructive and destructive material and weld seam tests and evaluate X-ray films (EN 5817, DIN EN ISO 17636-1, GASCADE M239) as well as US and MP tests. You take over the acceptance of welding-technical process and work tests according to DIN EN 15614 and document construction tests based on isometries, schemes and plans. You will create the technical documentation for pipeline and station construction, check measurements and take performance. You conduct, coordinate and monitor the construction and assembly companies professionally and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules. You provide functional, time- and cost-oriented project execution in close cooperation with planning, construction and assembly companies.

You have a successfully completed technical study and a degree as a welding specialist (m/w/d) and bring several years of practical experience. A qualification according to DIN EN ISO 9712 RT2.FI and experience in US and MP tests is desirable It has a high degree of flexibility and readiness to travel in terms of use and location. You have very good IT skills (MS Office) and are ready to work into new IT systems. You work team-oriented and possess pronounced communication and organizational skills. You work independently and are safe to handle authorities, companies, suppliers and customers. You have very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English. Your class B licence allows you to travel throughout Germany.
