Project Engineer Electrical Engineering

Branch: Public relations Branch: Public relations

We make port: With great passion, we keep running the infrastructure of the Port of Hamburg around the clock. We are more than 1,900 HPA colleagues who drive forward advanced ideas to develop Hamburg's heart and make the port a bit more sustainable every day.

The Competence Center for Technical Plants plays a key role: It is responsible for the operation and availability of mobile infrastructure facilities in the port of Hamburg and in the port area. Our specialized units are the basis for this – from plant management to technical offices for electrical, control and mechanical and steel water construction to the operating areas for locks, bridges, locks and the Alte Elbtunnel. The common goal is a high availability and cost-effectiveness of the plants over their entire life cycle. The technical office of electrical and control technology is at the centre of the technical development of the port. Here we plan, maintain and modernise complex electrotechnical and control systems – from the first idea to planning and tendering to commissioning. Whether new construction, modernization or large project: Our team actively contributes to the ongoing electrification of the Port of Hamburg and thus provides the basis for efficient, secure and sustainable operation. With a view to decarbonization, the Port of Hamburg plays a decisive role. Innovative electrical and automated solutions are an essential lever to reduce emissions and strengthen the port as a central hub of the energy transition. We make a special contribution in building the land flow infrastructure for seagoing vessels. The Port of Hamburg takes on a pioneering role in Germany: Landstrom allows seagoing vessels to obtain emission-free energy from the country during the current period. Our projects thus contribute significantly to the reduction of CO2 emissions, nitrogen oxide emissions and fine dust emissions in port and city areas. Our heart beats for the Port of Hamburg, which connects us! !

You plan and unfold new construction and maintenance measures in the electrical power supply (low voltage and medium voltage), control and building control technology as well as the safety equipment (BMA, EMA, SAA) – from pre-planning to execution (HOAI LP 1–9). Design and execution documents, verifiable calculations and technical documentation are designed to routinate and use common CAD and calculation tools. You create tender documents and performance descriptions, check offers, evaluate cost documents and accompany the procurement. In infrastructure projects, you can participate professionally, take part project lines and develop decision templates. You test planning and execution documents, carry out acceptances in the factory and at the construction site (FAT/SAT) and monitor the implementation according to recognised rules of the technology. With clients, operator organisations, engineering offices and external companies, you agree closely and negotiate order-relevant details. You ensure technical acceptance, document defects and check the complete plant documentation.

You have a degree in electrical engineering, automation or energy engineering or have equivalent knowledge and skills with long-term professional experience. You have already gained experience in the planning of energy supply systems (medium / low voltage), control infrastructure systems and safety systems. CAD applications (e.g. E PLAN), MS Office, MS Project as well as subject-specific calculation software are safe and know the relevant standards, regulations and procurement rules (VOL, VOB, VOF, HOAI). You work analytical, structured and solution-oriented, bringing your own initiative, high commitment and innovation joy. You work independently in the team, you are capable of communication and conflict, and you can clearly convey technical facts. You are willing to participate in readiness if necessary.

Our port is a symbol of openness and exchange and we welcome people with different backgrounds and life paths. We are therefore pleased to receive applications from people with severe disabilities.
