We are looking for the department “Kompetenzzentrum Umweltinformatik” in Karlsruhe or Stuttgart Software Developer (m/d) for backend development, databases and process integration on cooperation in the Unit ''Environmental Applications III'. The place shall be occupied by 01.06.2026 indefinitely. The LUBW is the competence centre of Baden-Württemberg in matters of environmental and nature protection, technical work protection, radiation protection and product safety. We advise politics and administration in Baden-Württemberg in a variety of technical topics. In the department ''Kompetenzzentrum Umweltinformatik'' a wide range of IT solutions are developed and supervised, always with the aim of making the future in Baden-Württemberg better together with politics and administration. We develop specialist applications for the state council offices, government offices and the Ministry of the Environment in the WIBAS areas of water, immission protection, soil, waste and occupational safety. In our technology stack we use Java/Hibernate, Oracle databases and Angular as a front-end programming language. The newly developed applications are made available for operation in containers.
