Number: MER0003JXD The plug-in hybrid vehicles (EQ Power) represent a significant contribution to an ever more efficient and sustainable mobility at Mercedes-Benz. They combine a purely electric driving experience on daily swing routes with an efficient internal combustion engine ride on longer journeys. Due to their complexity, the development of electrified drive trains represents a particular challenge, which combines many exciting topics from the field of electromobility with those of conventional drive. As part of this internship, you will get insights into the innovative technology of the electric drive with high-voltage batteries as well as into the classic internal combustion engine drive. They work with us on the operating strategy team, which essentially takes care of the functional development of the operating strategy software in the vehicle and is responsible for the application and release in the Mercedes hybrid vehicles. We are a motivated team supported for years by interns, graduates and doctoral students. In this compilation we combine scientific research topics with practical series development and use both prototype vehicles, (roller) test stands and the possibilities of simulation tools. These challenges include: Planning and supervision of vehicle and test bench tests Evaluation and analysis of measurement results Construction and extension of automated evaluation routines Preparation of prototype vehicles Participation in experimental and application journeys

Course of studies in automotive engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science or comparable study programme Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink desirable Knowledge of ETAS INCA/MDA Safe handling of MS Office Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic working Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Additional information: Of course, without formalities, we are not.
