We Malteser help people worldwide who are affected by poverty, hunger, crises and catastrophes and support them without respect for origin, religion or political conviction in emergency situations. In our numerous national and international projects, we help countless needy in the areas of disaster relief, development cooperation, nutrition, hygiene, health and disaster protection, as well as old age, loneliness, etc. More than one million supporters help us to finance our projects through grants. We are also a sought-after partner of state bodies in the implementation of large relief projects and are supported by more than 53,000 employees of our own general and volunteers.

The Department of Support Service of the Malteser is responsible for the planning and implementation of all our measures to obtain new and binding existing supporters in Germany. Our fundraising team consists of motivated and committed professionals and covers all facets of most modern fundraising. Our main task is to raise interest in our various social projects in Germany and abroad and to inspire them to support us in the long term. For the Fundraising department in the Malteser Centrale in Cologne, we are looking for a full-time one/n at the next time Teamleiter (w/m/d)

Professional and disciplinary leadership of the Grand Donor Team (Private Funder, Erbschaftsfundraising, Stiftungsfundraising, Unternehmensfundraising) Strategic development and implementation of the large donor strategy – incl. Segmentation, Address, Relationship Management and Donor Journey Identification and acquisition of new large donors, including the establishment and maintenance of long-term relationships Conception and implementation of customized formats, e.g. exclusive events, donor trips and conversations. Analysis, monitoring and reporting of KPIs and regular success control Close cooperation with other departments (e.g. Malteser Foundations, Communication) Representation of the area in internal and external bodies and networks

You have several years of experience in large donor fundraising – ideally with demonstrable successes in building and maintaining long-term funding relationships, performing events, donor trips and personal discussions You bring several years of leadership experience and understand how to lead a team of value, clear and motivating Your appearance is empathic, sovereign and binding – you encounter donors at eye level, with fingertips and a genuine interest in people You think strategically, identify potentials, develop forward-looking concepts and never lose sight of operational implementation Communication is your strength: You convince by safe appearance and the ability to present complex content in a comprehensible and convincing way You work independently, structured and with high motivation, actively contribute to the team and pursue joint goals with endurance and commitment The willingness to occasional business trips as well as evenings or weekends will bring you – as well as the pleasure of representing the organization personally
