As part of the Volontariat, you will acquire practical knowledge and skills in press and public relations as well as scientific communication. Among other things, the focus is on transferring scientific content into target group-specific texts and formats. You will also gain insights into the German research and media landscape. As part of the Volontariat, the operational activities serve the purpose of learning. You work under the guidance of increasing self-responsibility and are systematically integrated into the three central areas of the press office: Online editorial support and maintenance of the DZIF website Working with the support of social media communication Participation in the strategic development of the online channels (reaction/monitoring/reporting)

Requirements: Complete master's degree with reference to communication, media, PR, natural sciences or a comparable discipline High affinity for digital communication and social media Very good written and linguistic expressiveness in German and English Structured, independent and team-oriented working Interest in scientific topics in infection research and health Remarkable are: First practical experience in press work, journalism or science communication First experiences with content management systems First knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign) programs
