The Klinikum Ingolstadt is a national competence centre with 841 beds and treatment sites. Every year, in more than 20 clinics and institutes as well as 10 highly concentrated centers, we provide about 93,000 patients in a stationary and outpatient manner at a high medical level. The Clinic for acute and emergency medicine is the central point of contact for a specialist medical care in the Ingolstadt region. With a catchment area of about 500,000 people and an annual number of patients of about 50,000, it is one of the most powerful emergency clinics in Bavaria. Every year we provide about 3,000 non-traumological shock-space patients (about 5.5 % of all emergencies), of which 55% are classified as critically ill and have positive ViSiOn criteria. Our interdisciplinary team from the Departments of Internal Medicine, Trauma Surgery and Neurology is available 365 days a year around the clock. Struc­tured processes and optimized processes enable patient care at the highest level. The clinic for acute and emergency medicine has a receiving station with integrated Chest Pain unit (DGK-certified) and is established as a supra-regional trauma center (DGU), Cardiac Arrest Center (GRC) and supra-regional Stroke Unit in the NEVAS network.
