Your role in the team: You support the General Manager Legal & Claims and the team and play a central role in providing comprehensive legal advice and guidance for the company. Providing legal advice: You offer expert legal advice to ensure compliance with shipping laws, regulations and industry standards, and address the legal needs of the company in various areas. Contract management: You examine, uncover and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including service contracts, procurement contracts and supplier contracts. claims management and processing of damages: assessment, processing and negotiation of cargo and vessel-related claims under the applicable liability restrictions; Coordination with stakeholders, experts, terminals, subcontractors and lawyers. Working with the Corporate Legal Department / Compliance: You work with the Legal Teams in Geneva. Risk assessment: performing thorough legal risk assessments, identifying potential vulnerabilities and proposing risk mitigation strategies. Legal research and analysis: conduct legal research and analysis to support sound decision-making and provide enforceable recommendations for general management.

Comprehensive knowledge of the shipping/logistics industry as well as international shipping and contract law and damage management (focus: German and English (sea) law), with at least 5 years of professional experience Master's degree, e.g. in Seerecht/International Trade Law (LL.M.) or Full Legal Experience with legal disputes and a comprehensive understanding of strategies for damage regulation Excellent communication and negotiation Analysis of complex contractual situations and problems Embossed team spirit, performance and result orientation as well as an independent, precise way of working Good interpersonal and communicative skills Excellent language skills in English and German
