The task of the Department of Health is to protect and promote the health of the population, to observe and evaluate developments and to contribute to necessary assistance. The Department of Health is assigned to the Department of Culture, Social Affairs and Health and with its around 130 employees: in the city of Göttingen and the county of Göttingen.
