Come on aboard! For the location of Bremen (Lemwerder) or Hamburg, we are looking for a System Administrator (m/w/d) IT Infrastructure & Server Operation (Windows / Linux)

Without powerful IT systems nothing is going on. As a new member of our infrastructure team, you will ensure that our IT system landscape works reliably, safely and efficiently – in the international environment and with direct reference to the top maritime technology. Your tasks in an overview: They operate, maintain and develop our complex IT infrastructure – consisting of distributed Windows and Linux systems. On the basis of established standards (e.g. ITIL, BSI IT basic protection), you realize high-availability data centers with focus on servers, storage solutions, backup and network-related services. With the help of central monitoring systems, you identify vulnerabilities and eliminate disturbances before they become problems – so that all processes run smoothly. They support colleagues in technical support in infrastructural issues and develop sustainable solutions together. Your careful documentation of technical systems, processes and solutions helps to secure and access knowledge.

A completed IT training (manufacturer for system integration) or a study in the field of computer science, information technology or telecommunications Multiannual professional experience in system administration, ideally focusing on server and storage environments in heterogeneous infrastructures Very good knowledge in handling Windows and Linux servers, virtualization solutions (VMware), TPM basic services, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP Experiences with the administration within an environment that meets the requirements for the “VS-NfD” secret protection level are helpful Experience with common hardware from HPE, Dell or Pure Storage is beneficial Good communication skills in German and English as well as a structured, solution-oriented manner Joy in working in the team, a strong sense of IT security – and the need to operate systems in a sustainable manner
