The Scientific Computing Center (SCC) is the central IT service provider of KIT. In the Campus and Cloud Applications (CCA) department, we are responsible for the technical infrastructure for digital testing, develop these continuously and support the operational audit operation. You develop and develop the technical architecture of the KIT digital testing platforms scientifically. You analyze the requirements of faculties and institutions and translate them into innovative technical solutions. You evaluate new technologies, architectures and trends in the field of e-assessment and digital testing. You develop concepts for modern exam formats, for example for programming tests, graphical tasks or BYOD scenarios. You introduce current research results and best practices into the further development of the audit infrastructure. You represent the requirements of KIT in the International Open Source Community of ILIAS and analyze new functions and releases in terms of their potential for testing operations. You accompany online reviews as a technical contact person and analyze and troubleshoot efficiently and solution-oriented

You bring with them: A completed academic degree programme (master level) of informatics, business informatics, information management or a comparable discipline with IT focus. Experience in the operation and administration of web applications and database systems. Found knowledge of the Linux system administration as well as good knowledge of the PHP environment as well as MySQL/MariaDB. Experience with virtualization and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes. Knowledge of automation with script languages such as Python or Bash. Understanding IT security and operating business-critical systems. Very good knowledge of German and English.
