The SOS Children's Village Kaiserslautern – Youth assistance and advice is a combination of differentiated youth assistance offers in the stationary, partially stationary and outpatient areas. In addition to open offers in school social work, in kita social work and in the context of early help for pregnant women and families with infants and young children, our family assistance centre offers all those support that are threatened or affected by mental, physical and/or sexualized violence. We also operate one of 17 children's health services in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Do you want to give a voice to children and adolescents in difficult situations of life and promote their development? In the family assistance centre you are part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team that is around the clock for children and young people – without waiting times and with a clear goal: to offer protection and perspectives. Become a social pedagogue or psychologist*in part of our nationally recognized specialist body for child welfare and actively shape preventive and therapeutic measures in child protection. Therapy and advice: They accompany children and young people affected by violence through sensitive advice and targeted therapeutic measures. You create a protected space where you can build trust and process your experiences Parent advice: They help parents to perceive their role as safe reference persons, develop solutions together and strengthen family resources for the benefit of children Strengthening child protection: They advise professionals and institutions to suspect child welfare and help identify threats and initiate appropriate measures Prevention and Enlightenment: You carry out training and workshops for professionals and institutions to raise awareness of child protection and establish preventive structures Crisis intervention: They are available in acute crisis situations, take on call and provide quick, competent help to protect children and young people in need Networking: They work closely with youth offices, schools, therapeutic professionals and other relevant actors to create sustainable support for affected families Quality assurance: You document your work carefully, reflect your actions in the team and actively contribute to the development of standards and concepts in child protection Child and care protection: You implement the statutory requirements of the protection of children and carers consistently and professionally

sound training: You have a completed study of social education or psychology (Master) and ideally bring an initial or completed additional education in the field of child and youth therapy with Experience in child protection: They have practical experience in dealing with cases of child welfare and know the legal framework and appropriate intervention strategies professional and personal strength: They meet children, young people and families with empathy, appreciation and respect.
