Railigent X is Siemens Mobility's open IoT platform that uses AI and Big Data to change asset management in rail traffic. Our goal? Increase availability, reduce overall operating costs and optimize maintenance by intelligent data usage. As a Senior Platform DevOps Engineer, you are part of an agile DevOps and Platform team. They occupy a key position in the development and operation of our base platform components, deployment pipelines and security architecture. Additionally support and enable experienced development teams and advise management.

What are you wearing?

Railigent X is Siemens Mobility's open IoT platform that leverages AI for web-asset management and revolutionizes it by using intelligent data – for higher availability, less costs and optimized maintenance.

• As a member of our DevOps team, you take responsibility for the design, implementation, further development and reliable operation and maintenance of a platform based on both AWS cloud native services and Kubernetes components.
• In close cooperation with internal and external development teams, you define the ongoing development of the platform architecture for critical and highly available applications and services.
• They extend existing guidelines and monitor their compliance with platform architecture and software development quality standards. You will also participate in internal and external audits according to ISO27001.
• They are responsible for the migration of applications and services based on the platform architecture you define.
• As an experienced senior DevOps engineer coach and recruit internal and external staff and project teams and help us scale.

What are you doing?

• You have a completed master's degree in computer science or a comparable discipline.
• You have several years of professional experience in software development in a senior-level DevOps position and are familiar with agile working methods such as SCRUM and SAFe.
• They are an expert in modern software architectures of data-driven IoT solutions and have profound knowledge of hybrid and cloud architectures (Kubernetes/AWS) and their use in the corporate environment.
• They score with very good knowledge and multiannual hands-on experience in AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. AWS CF/Terraform) and CICD (e.g. Gitlab/ArgoCD/Kubevela) and Identity Access Management (e.g. OIDC/SAML/KeyClo).
• You have extensive practical experience with industrial-use cases, contract management and requirements engineering.
• They like to be part of a global team and feel comfortable in an agile DevOps environment. They bring an enabler minimum set and a Whatever-it-takes mentality.
• As you work in an international team, excellent knowledge of German and English is necessary. They are also experienced in negotiation, willing to communicate and stand up safely.
