Product Manager Electricity Market & Sector Coupling (m/f/d)

Understanding the market and shaping the future: You analyze the developments in the electricity market, identify relevant trends and evaluate their significance for AVAT and our customers. You will focus on topics such as electricity trading, direct marketing, flexibility marketing, dynamic electricity prices, regular energy, battery storage and new energy business models. Connecting current and heat: You actively shape the increasing sector coupling. Together with our experts, you will develop solutions for how BHKW, large heat pumps, electrode boilers as well as current and heat accumulators will be able to respond intelligently to electricity prices, market and grid signals. Detecting customer and market requirements: You understand the challenges of our customers and conduct an intensive exchange, in particular with municipal works, energy suppliers, contractors and operators of complex energy systems. From market and customer requirements, you can meet specific requirements for our products and services. Strategically developing products: You design our modular product and service portfolio and develop it consistently towards an increasingly coupled electricity and heat market. You translate energy requirements into specific product strategies, use cases and roadmaps. Developing new business models: You think beyond the technical product and deal with the question of how additional customer benefits and new value added can arise. You evaluate possible business models, partnerships and make-or-buy approaches and develop new market offers. Design pricing and revenue models: You develop market-oriented pricing and revenue models for our products and services – from classic licensing and package prices to subscription and usage models to new success or value-oriented approaches. Make product success measurable: You accompany your product groups over the entire life cycle, observe their market performance and develop suitable key figures for controlling and measuring success. Develop joint solutions: You work closely with development, sales, marketing, production and management and take over a central interface between the electricity market, customer, product and technology.

Found experience in the electricity market: You know the energy industry from practice and have a thorough understanding of the mechanisms of the electricity market. Ideally, you will bring experience from areas such as electricity trading, direct marketing, flexibility marketing, virtual power plants, control energy, battery storage or energy management. Multiannual product management experience: You have several years of professional experience as a product manager (all genders) or in a comparable strategic function and have successfully developed and positioned complex B2B products or services on the market. Understanding sectoral coupling: You do not consider electricity and heat separated. You recognise the opportunities arising from the electrification of heat supply, and can bring together energy-economic market mechanisms with technologies such as BHKW, large heat pumps, electrode boilers, and electricity and heat storage. Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking: You recognize market changes early, can evaluate their relevance for customers and business models and develop specific product and market strategies. You think in value chains and economic relationships. Technical and energy understanding: You have a completed technical, energy, or comparable degree and have the pleasure of combining energy requirements with technical solutions. Customer orientation and communication strength: You listen to, ask the right questions and can communicate complex connections in a comprehensible way. You move safely between customers, energy management and technical development teams and communicate convincingly in German and English. Design will: You not only want to manage an existing product portfolio, but also develop new topics and take responsibility.
