(m/w/d) is responsible for the representation of the subject area “Computer-generated image worlds”. The activity includes innovative activities in teaching and research with a special focus on the design and technological development of digital image design, understood as an integrated interaction of 3D-Asset creation, 2D/3D animation, Motion Graphics (2D and 3D) and experimental formats across different media and output channels. A outstandingly qualified and inspiring personality is sought, which positions digital image worlds as an essential part of a screen-based and spatial design understanding in animated and interactive formats. In addition, the professorship addresses the integration of new innovative technologies – such as AI-based creation, procedural workflows and real-time 3D – in the design and production process. The professorship is located in the Faculty of Information Management and Media in the Study Programme Information Design (Bachelor and Master). The Information Design study programme interdisciplinarily combines the areas of language, visual communication, audiovisual and interactive media, data journalism and new media developments, e.g. through AI. Students are engaged in the design, design and production of analogue and digital media for the information exchange of socially relevant topics. As graduates (m/w/d), You typically work in publishers and public and private broadcasters, in communications departments of companies and agencies, in the field of science and knowledge transfer and knowledge technology, as well as in public-smooth institutions or in educational-didactically oriented segments. The information design program expands its profile with the new location. One of the two newly appointed professorships is occupied with this current position.
