Number: MER0004136 Are you intrigued by automated driving and the complex ADAS sensors that are integrated into modern vehicles? Are you passionate about programming, especially in Python? This work student activity offers students with experience in camera and Lidar technologies as well as Python the opportunity to introduce and further develop their knowledge in an exciting environment. In the course of work, a method of securing the calibration of camera and lidar methods during the vehicle movement is to be developed in an early phase. Details of the calibration methods are available and existing data collections can be expanded if necessary. These challenges come to you: Development and protection of new calibration methods

Implementation of Data Collections and Operational Tests

Data processing and evaluation using algorithms and visualization of results

Generation of performance indicators (KPIs) for characterization of algorithms and detection of measuring capability

Support for the coordination of suppliers

The activity can begin from May 2026.

Mechatronics, Mathematics, Computer Science or comparable technical courses

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office

Commitment and team skills

Analytical thinking and strategic working

Good knowledge of mathematics in the field of vector mathematics and statistics are mandatory

Knowledge of vehicle technology and calibration are advantageous

Knowledge of the sensor environment is advantageous

Ideally experience in process development

Ideally experience in the field of process protection and DfSS
