Consultant for practical phases and network coordination (w/m/d) in the “Village Lab” teaching project (part time 50 %, E 13 TV-L) Reference number 2026/174. The place is located in the field of Career Service and Key Qualifications in the Department of Studies and Teaching and from 01.01.2027 to be occupied until 30.06.2030. The project “Village Lab” of the University of Konstanz is funded under the direction of the Vice-Rector for Teaching as part of the invitation to tender “The World Is My Campus”. With this project, the University of Konstanz establishes a cross-disciplinary focus on democracy in rural areas. The aim is to complement the technical dimensions of university studies by an explicit practice-based reflection of the role of scientifically trained academics as a democratically acting person. Rural regions serve as a particularly challenging but also concretely tangible place of learning of democratic negotiation processes. The project focuses on co-creative partnerships between university and rural communities. An employee in the field of Career Service and Key Qualifications will be sought, who will take over the tasks specified below within this project.

Establishment and coordination of a central consultancy and coordination body for practical phases in the field of democracy and civil society strengthening Identification, extraction and monitoring of appropriate practice sites Establishment, maintenance and strategic development of partnerships and cooperations with municipalities, associations, initiatives, regional companies and other social actors in rural areas Development and coordination of financing and support models to enable practical phases and the stay of students in rural areas Development and implementation of quality standards and a catalogue of criteria for the recognition and quality assurance of practical phases Advising and accompanying students in the planning, implementation and reflection of their practical phases Coordination with disciplines for the curricular anchoring and recognition of compulsory practice Practical semester Documentation, evaluation and reporting as part of the project and participation in its further development

Completed academic studies (Master), preferably in the fields of social science, education, political and administrative science or related disciplines Embossed conceptual and organizational skills as well as experience in building and coordinating networks and cooperation structures Experience in cooperation with local and civil society actors, preferably in rural areas Confidence with university structures, quality standards and curricular processes is advantageous Ideally experience in advising and accompanying young people Independent, structured and solution-oriented mode of operation Representative conceptual, organizational and communicative skills High team capacity and joy in cooperation with different actors Very good knowledge of German in word and writing Ready for business trips to the partner municipalities
