The State Building Office Heidelberg is responsible for various construction projects on behalf of the Federal Government – in Baden-Württemberg and abroad. We implement civil and military construction measures, integrated into the high-performance Baden-Württemberg federal building with around 780 employees. We work in interdisciplinary teams from young and experienced construction professionals of all divisions, as contractor representation and large general planning office. Mission: You ensure that an underground installation of the federal government remains permanently stable, weathered and operational and grows according to needs. Maintenance underground: road construction and maintenance, water retention, ventilation, shaft and conveyor technology: You evaluate the plant condition, derive a repair strategy and implement it. Expansion under continuous operation: Enlargement measures follow the forced points of the mountains and plant safety, not the desired schedule. You plan and control them so that the operation continues. Mountain legal framework: You work with operating plans, mountain supervision and special experts from mountain mechanics and ventilation and get to know a legal area that nobody else needs in federal construction. Civil engineering remains your foundation: In addition to the underground plant, you are responsible for projects in engineering, in the supply and disposal and in transport systems, the plant is not alone in the landscape. Building roll: The focus is on the control of specialized professionals and specialized companies instead of self-planning; individual planning components for obtaining your expertise remain part of the task. Use alternative procurement routes: The market for mining services is narrow. You include functional tenders, framework contracts and alternative procurement procedures. Dates, costs, quality: You perceive the interests of the builders, control them resiliently and identify optimization potential before it becomes expensive. Accelerate procedures: You exercise discretion and find ways to make administrative operations faster without giving up the care. Advise and communicate: You provide professional services between users, authorities and planning stakeholders. Measure success: You recognize your success because there is no unplanned plant shutdown that the plant condition is documented in a loadable manner and that removal measures do not interrupt the operation. Qualification: completed university studies in the field of civil engineering, mining or comparable discipline. Experience: We are consciously open from highly motivated professional entry to long-term practice in project management, construction management or construction design. What you want to introduce is crucial, not how long you already do it. Bringing or buying mining technology: If you come from mining, tunneling or geotechnical engineering, you are at home immediately. If not, a solid civil engineering base is sufficient – you will learn mining technology with us, with time and with professionals on your side. Ready for underground: Regular work underground and the associated safety requirements are not an obstacle to you, but the stimulus of the task. Control instead of own planning: You guide special professionals professionally, instead of drawing themselves, and do not feel it as a loss. Digital work: You use digital tools, of course, test new AI-based tools and work independently. Understanding structures: openness to the procedures of construction management, procurement law, HOAI, RBBau. Contribution orientation: You want to leave plants that bear longer than your responsibility. Collaboration and Language: You like to work with other disciplines; we require knowledge of German in word and writing. Security check: readiness to carry out a security check under the National Security Audit Act.
