In your role as a researcher, you are part of the scientific service of the University Library. You support scientists and innovative founders in research on the state of the art for the preparation of funding applications and for the protection of inventions. This includes: the development of research strategies. carrying out research in professional databases. the creation of comprehensive research reports. the care of our client in searches in the above-mentioned databases. As an expert, you can use our professional databases efficiently and keep an eye on the further development of research opportunities using AI. As part of the IP strategy for beginners, research and founding teams from the university and the city region will advise you on the protection of their intellectual property – including at the AGIT patent day. You conduct job searches to brands, designs and standards. In addition, you organize training and information events both virtually and in presence for university members and external customer groups; create training concepts and learning materials for independent learning. Finally, you represent the PNZ at regional and national events or bodies.

You have a successfully completed degree (master, diploma or comparable degree) in one or more subjects of engineering or natural sciences (in particular mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, medical technology, physics or computer science) as well as industrial or patent engineering. First experiences and relevant qualifications in the field of industrial property are advantageous, but no prerequisite. You are characterized by analytical thinking, work conceptually and independently and bring a high degree of self-initiative. Their pronounced communicative and social competence allows you to experience a safe way in dealing with the college and the clientele.
