Our university is a member of the relevant Rector Conferences (HRK, RKH BW, RKHD, REF). Research at EH Freiburg is characterized by its interdisciplinary nature. For example, this can be presented at the research focus on pedagogy of childhood (childhood pedagogy), which is represented on the research map of the HRK – University Rectors Conference. Leading professorships in this research focus are from the following disciplines: childhood education, psychology, social work. Employees represent, for example, the disciplines of education, psychology, childhood education, social work.

The university has a strong professional profile in gender studies with a Competence Center of Violence in Gender Relationship, equipped with two main professorships. In addition, the university is working in an interdisciplinary manner on research topics that are globally virulent: for example, right-wing extremism and right-wing populism, migration and racism, anti-Semitism, sustainability, demographic change, peace research (especially through the peace institute of the university), health and supply research. The CHE has continuously tested the research strength of our university as outstanding. EH Freiburg is a member of the Baden-Württemberg Promotion Association and 30 percent of its university lecturers are represented in the associated doctorate center.

Senior Consultant (m/w/d) 50 %, unlimited With this professorship You represent the subject of practical theology with a focus on pastoral care in teaching, research, transfer and further education. Seelsorgian competences give you priority in the Bachelor's degree programme Religion and Social Affairs and in the Master's degree programme Religious Education. We focus on your expertise and participation in the conceptual development of the two courses, in particular on the basis of our own research in the field of pastoral care. Their willingness to interdisciplinary cooperation in teaching, research and further education and transfer is desirable.

Scope of the teaching obligation In the case of a professorship in parttime (50 %), the teaching obligation is 9 semester week hours (SWS). In the first semester, the teaching obligation for incorporation in accordance with the valid deputy order of the Evangelical University of Freiburg is reduced by 1.5 SWS.

Appointment and appointment Their appointment as a university teacher in the employee relationship with the Evangelical State Church in Baden takes place by the Evangelical Oberkirchenrat Karlsruhe, the appointment as a professorin by the university.
