ZEISS Microoptics is a unit of the Photonics & Optics strategic business unit specializing in the development, optimization, mastering, replication and integration of optical applications based on micro-optical and holographic optical elements. Your duties Precision for high-performance optical products needs fingertip feeling and a good eye. Using holography, ZEISS Microoptics implements new lighting, projection and detection systems. With the newly founded Aerospace business unit, we expand our business areas and look for a motivated and committed specialist (m/w/x). In this role, you are responsible for the development and construction of mechanical designs for optical systems in the aviation sector and perform the following tasks: Using FEM methods to perform structural mechanical and thermal analysis

Ensure compliance with aviation standards and requirements (AS9100, EN 9100)

Create technical documentation and standard drawings

Support the planning and organisation of development projects

Take technical communication with domestic and foreign customers and suppliers

Become part of a growing interdisciplinary team and introduce your expert knowledge to realize new products for aviation and create added value for our customers.

Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, physics engineering, mechatronics or related discipline

Insufficient professional experience in mechanical design, ideally in the Aerospace market segment, pre-knowledge to the ISO 10110 optics standard

Experience in the integration of optical components and their mounting and adhesive technologies complemented by sound technical understanding in optics, photonics or related technologies

Expertise in CAD software, preferably Creo 10, as well as very good user knowledge in popular MS Office applications

Self-employed, structured and result-oriented working methods as well as willingness to occasional service trips in Germany and abroad

Very good communication skills in German and English (in word and writing) for stakeholder management
