Number: MER000442K We're research at Mercedes-Benz Cars. Our focus is on developing future concepts, innovative technologies and new components and materials for the mobility of tomorrow. In close cooperation with world-leading experts, we are driving forward topics in the fields of interior, exterior, digitalization, smart materials as well as E/E technologies and vehicle components. Our team consists of dedicated and collegial employees who are looking forward to welcoming you to the Future Technologies Lab and working in your tasks. During your internship, you will get comprehensive insights into our research business and actively support us in implementing innovative projects. You can participate in various tasks around our research prototypes and get to know the entire process from preparation to implementation. Your tasks As part of your internship, you will take the following activities:

Preparation and support in material testing

Conducting material tests on universal testing machines

Preparation and monitoring of component testing

Documentation and evaluation of test results

Working in mechanical material processing (e.g. turning, drilling, milling)

Construction of smaller demonstrators and experimental arrangements

Cooperation with internal workshops and departments

Support for vehicle reconstructions and prototype structures

The activity can begin from August 2026.

Studies in technical fields (e.g. materials science, textile technology, materials science, vehicle engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable)

First practical experience (e.g. training or internships) of advantage

Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office

Commitment, team skills and independent working

Analytical thinking and structured approach

valid passenger car license class B
