Baumpflegerin As a tree nursein, you with passion, expertise and team spirit ensure that our city trees remain healthy, develop well – and people can feel safe and well in the green. Whether high up in the crown, at the watering of young trees or at the winter service: Your work is visible, important and valuable for everyone living in Freiburg. You bring life to the city – with professional tree care: You care about the trees along roads and in green areas. With the right cut to ZTV tree care, the removal of dead wood or the restoration of the light-space profile, you make sure that Freiburg's city green remains healthy, safe and beautiful. You also work with the lifting work platform at an airy height. You intervene when security is in demand: If trees are no longer traffic-proof or have to be liked for conservation reasons, you take care and responsibility. You know what to do with professional precipitation – to protect people, paths and surrounding nature. You care, protect and develop the trees of tomorrow: you support the care of young trees – with planting and educational cuts, irrigation, the cleansing of the tree quarters or the attachment of protective devices. When you set up shut-offs to secure the construction site, you also pack up and drive for safe work areas. You also keep Freiburg mobile in winter: As part of the readiness to call, you help with the winter service – in the case of clearing and scattering work on paths and squares. This means that in the cold season you will also find safe ways in the city.

You have a completed training as a gardenerin – ideally in the area of nursery or garden and landscape construction or a comparable training, for example as a forest farmer+in or farmerin. You have at least the class B driver's license – this is a prerequisite for the job and you are willing to start another driving training. If you already have a C1E or higher license, this is a real plus! You may even have an additional training as a specialist farmer in tree care or as a European Tree Worker. First experiences in tree care and knowledge of care measures according to ZTV tree care are desirable – as well as basic knowledge in botany and tree physiology. Ideally, you have already worked on the lifting platform (with training certificate according to DGUV 308-008) and can safely handle the motor saw (AS Baum I and II). You are ready to learn new things, take responsibility and take action flexibly – whether in a team or alone, in the sun or snowfall. A friendly appearance, even in contact with citizens or traffic participants, completes your profile.
