(Senior) Privacy Counsel - Digital Transformation & Governance (m/f/d)

Design the privacy governance of the future In this role you are not only consultants:in, but architect:in. You accompany OBI to translate data protection from theory into workflows and code. Your mission: Privacy by Design & Default: You advise our product teams on the further development of the Tech ecosystem and make sure that data protection requirements are taken into account from the first code line

Compliance as Code: Transfer of regulatory requirements in automated processes and together with Tech teams to find innovative solutions for data management

Strategic legal advice: You can safely navigate the Group through the thicket of modern data law – always with a view to the entrepreneurial goals

International coordination: As a lead expert, you support our local legal departments in the OBI countries and harmonize the data strategy across borders

Qualification: Completion as a full lawyer:in with two convincing stateexamina

Experience: At least 5 years of well-founded professional experience in a law firm or legal department, with a clear focus on data(protection) law

Technology confession: profound understanding of digital ecosystems and their impact on modern data protection

Mindset: You have the drive to build something new. You work analytically, think conceptually and communicate complex facts precisely and solution-oriented

Languages: Your German is excellent, your English is safe to negotiate – we act in an international environment
