Lead Expert Military IT - Relocatable Data Centers (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. The Customer Solution Unit CIR & See is responsible for BWI's projects and projects towards the customer in the dimensions “Cyber- & Informationsraum” and “See” of the Bundeswehr. This includes solutions in the context of IT, in support of operations and exercises, for transferable systems, to ensure the IT supply of Bw abroad and also of the Marine, both for stationary and sea-based shares.

Acquisition of the technical management for the area of transferable data centers Support for internal contractorship (sponsor) for solutions in the environment of military IT at a high level of security

Requirement, analysis and documentation of topics in coordination with the customer, and their implementation in sustainable concepts and architecture

Customer advice on concepts and target images for the implementation and operation of IT solutions in the context of management information systems

Support for offers, performance descriptions, calculations and back-to-back agreements

Cooperation with the Bundeswehr / the user and all areas of the BWI to strengthen the user orientation and understanding of the requirements

New and further development of architectural concepts and reference architectures in the field of IT, taking into account the requirements and guidelines of BWI, Bw and NATO

Coordination of architecture, operating and rollout concepts with the responsible parties of the Bundeswehr, internal units of the BWI and external service providers

Completed studies in the IT field or comparable training At least six years of practical experience in IT architecture methods with good planning and design knowledge, ideally in large and complex IT projects in the field of security-relevant IT infrastructures Excellent knowledge of IP networks, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing and high availability technologies Very good knowledge in the field of IT infrastructures (servers, network and communication) especially in the context of IT (GMN) Very good knowledge of the planning and implementation of high availability concepts such as redundancy and failover Operating experience in operating models (e.g. ITIL), ideally in the KRITIS or Bw environment Very good analytical skills and a high degree of decision-making and implementation A result-oriented, structured and reliable way of working as well as delegation capability and loadability German and good English knowledge in word such as writing and readiness to travel
