The landscape association Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) works as a municipal association with more than 20,000 employees for the 8.3 million people in the region. The LWL operates 35 support schools, 21 hospitals, 18 museums, two visitor centers and is one of the largest German helpers for people with disabilities.
