Do you combine many years of design experience in packaging or special machine construction with interest in digital development methods? With Schubert-Motion in Dresden, you are responsible for the constructive implementation of complex format subsets: from the mathematically calculated geometry to construction and experiment to use in our packaging machines. Together with a calculation engineer, you develop the technology and automate existing processes with python, CAD automation and AI-based tools.

Schubert-Motion is a development office in Dresden and a direct part of Gerhard Schubert GmbH, a technologically leading manufacturer of modular, robot-based packaging machines. We develop technologies and software solutions around our own robotics and motion control – from numerical optimization and simulation to software development and automation of development processes.

Designing complete format part sets and complex free-form components for installation in our packaging machines Responsibility for technical implementation in customer projects from request intake, design and procurement to validation further developing the geometry calculation and constructive implementation together with the calculation engineer and deriving improvements from experimental and practical results Cooperation with the operational areas in the stem plant (production and commissioning) Planning, carrying out and evaluating experiments at the forming test stand in Dresden as well as accompanying developments in construction, production and assembly Digitalize design and process knowledge and recurring work steps with Python scripts, CAD automation and AI-based tools Bringing your experience into new machine concepts as well as robotics and collaborations with

Complete degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable discipline

Multiannual practical design experience in packaging or special machine construction, ideally with close reference to assembly, experiment or commissioning Very good knowledge of professional 3D CAD systems as well as experience in the design of complex assemblies and customised parts Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials as well as the ability to systematically translate experimental and practical results into constructive improvements Basic programming experience with Python or a comparable script language as well as interest in CAD automation, parametric design and AI-based tools independent, structured and result-oriented working methods, communication and team skills and good English skills; Knowledge of measurement data evaluation, version management, software testing or CI processes are advantageous
