The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Thüringen offers differentiated stationary and outpatient assistance for children, young people and families, a family consultancy office, open and intergenerational offers in a family centre and the women's communication centre. In the SOS Children's Village of Thuringia we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in permanent employment, part-time (min. 20 - max. 30 hours/Where.) In our SOS family group, up to eight children and young people live, who often have stressful and challenging experiences. Our goal is to provide them with a protected habitat where You can develop confidence, experience stability and develop their individual strengths. Each of our four residential groups has its own house on the spacious grounds of a former estate in the Gera district of Lusan. Cosy living and dining areas create space for common family life, while single and double rooms offer retreats for playing, learning and relaxing. A large garden with a tree house, a partly covered courtyard and a building car as a meeting point for older children and young people invite you to discover, move and stay.

Your task: Your tasks include: reliable daily support: You create a safe, stable and loving daily routine in which the children feel canceled. individual promotion: You support children in school and professional matters, strengthen their social skills and accompany them on their way to self-employment. deep relationship work: You build trusted relationships, recognize the individual needs of the children and help them to develop their potential. Teamwork and pedagogical planning: You work closely with colleagues, design help planning together and develop pedagogical concepts that give guidance to children in the long term. Leisure design and creative offers: You develop creative, playful and exciting activities that support children in their personal and social development. economic tasks: You help to structure a family life in which children experience self-employment and sense of responsibility. Network work: You maintain valuable cooperation with family of origin, schools, kitas, therapists, doctors, to ensure holistic support for children. Documentation and reflection: You regularly reflect your pedagogical action and carefully document processes to ensure the quality of care. Child protection: You always act in the sense of the well-being of children and are conscientiously implementing measures for the protection of children and responsibilities.

You have completed training as an educator or comparable educational qualification. Ideally you bring experience in stationary child and youth assistance or similar educational fields. You have the ability to engage in children and adolescents, to perceive their individual needs and to build trusting, sustainable relationships. You accompany children and adolescents in challenging situations patiently, reliably and lovingly, and give them stability, orientation and trust. You regularly question your own pedagogical action and use these findings to ensure the best possible support for the representatives. You work constructively and respectfully with educational professionals, parents and network partners and contribute to a collegial working environment. You always act in the sense of the well-being of children, are reliable, reflected and carefully implement educational concepts. You recognize risks early, act transparent and professional and consistently implement the protection of children. You bring their own ideas, make everyday life lively and varied and support the representatives in their personal development. You have the pleasure of developing yourself professionally and personally, participating in training and using your knowledge for the benefit of the representatives.
