The Digital Library and Bavarica (DBB) department provides easy and free access to a variety of digitalized books and cultural objects, for example via the digital collections of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek or the Bavarian Cultural Portal bavarikon.

Webdesigner (m/w/d) für die Münchener Digitization Center

9b TV-L, full-time, limited to 31.12.2027

Your tasks:

• Working with design concepts and documentation
• Development of innovative user interfaces
• Improving user experience in cooperation with professionals and developers
• Improving accessibility

Your qualification:

• completed university studies (Bachelor/Diplom FH) in library and information management, media informatics, design, design, communication design or comparable degree and
• at least two years of professional experience or
• a comparable qualification with corresponding professional experience

In addition, you have:

• knowledge in design systems and safe handling of graphics programs
• Knowledge of design documentation and development of design specifications
• Experience in designing responsive websites
• Knowledge of usability, UX methods and web design batteries
• Knowledge of requirements analysis and management systems
• Knowledge of digital accessibility and standards BITV and WCAG
• strong team and communication skills
• good knowledge of German in word and writing, at least B2 level

• Full-time office limited to 31.12.2027
