Head of Transportation Management (m/f/d)

You are responsible for the strategic and operational management of our national and international transport, in particular the further development and control of all transport activities for our business units at the relevant locations in Germany and the Czech Republic. You develop and implement forward-looking transport strategies with your team and ensure smooth operation of all transports across all modes of transport (road, sea, air) in inbound and outbound as well as in location logistics. You are responsible for the punctuality, the service level, the costs and, if necessary, the performance management for all process participants. You are responsible for the selection, negotiation and commercial management of national and international transport and logistics service providers with your logistics purchasing team. These include contract and cost management, regular performance assessments and the establishment of long-term and efficient partnerships with external service providers. You carry the transport management team professionally and disciplinaryly, develop employees in a targeted manner and promote a performance-oriented and cooperative leadership culture within the meaning of WeLead 2.0. You advance the development of digital processes and systems, identify innovation potentials and guide national and global projects in the transport environment in close cooperation with IT and Supply Chain as needed.

You have a completed university degree in the business sector and have optimally already several years of professional experience in the fields of supply chain management, transport and purchase/creation. In addition, you already have several years of experience in managing transport service providers or suppliers and were also responsible for the further development and support of a team. A communication-strong and convincing appearance, also in English, as well as enforcement strength and target orientation complete your profile.
