Artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, multimedia content analytics, information integration and enterprise modeling and analysis are the main focus of our work.

In the Knowledge Discovery Business Unit, we develop intelligent applications for use in all areas of healthcare within industrial and research projects. We use Foundation models and Natural Language Processing (NLP) for complex clinical and administrative processes. High reliability, ethically responsible handling of data and efficient use of resources are of central importance.

Here we move questions like:

• How can AI-based systems help to improve treatment for patients?
• How can we involve our customers and cooperation partners in the development process and cooperate optimally with doctors and nurses?
• What specific challenges arise around AI applications in the healthcare sector, especially in the hospital of the future?
• How can we support digitalization in the healthcare sector and continue to think through the use of AI?

Develop and research with us - with the possibility of promotion - new AI methods that help answer these questions.

What you do with us

• Conception and development of new AI-based methods that enable optimal use of resources in the hospital
• Conception and implementation of methods and methods for resource optimization under complex conditions
• Design, planning and implementation of tailor-made data science & AI solutions for healthcare
• Research into new Generative AI technologies that enable the productive use of AI including publication of research results
• Advice from customers to use artificial intelligence

What you bring

• Complete academic studies (Master, Diploma, PhD) of computer science, mathematics, medical informatics or a related subject with excellent degree
• Previous knowledge in the fields of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence in the medical context - to demonstrate through study services, professional experience or certificates
• Project experiences in the field of combinatorial optimization in hospitals - prove by professional experience or certificates
• Experience in the use of optimization libraries (e.g. or-tools or Gurobi) as well as frontend, backend and database libraries - prove by professional experience
• Very good analytical skills, pleasure in abstract thinking and conceptual work
• High commitment, experimentation and the willingness to work quickly into new facts
• German (min. C1) and English (min. B1)
