The research management department of the University Medicine Göttingen (UMG) is responsible for all EU-funded and international research projects from consulting the applicants to contract negotiations and project controlling of the approved projects. Furthermore, this area supports scientists in applying for national funding. For this exciting field of activity we are looking for an open minded personality. Self-advising and supporting scientists in the application and management process of third-party funded research projects, including the DFG, the BMFTR, the MJFF and the EU Commission, include in particular:

Advising and supporting scientists in designing and writing third-party applications (including budget, formalia, suitability of the request for tender) Formal and factual examination of third-party applications (in accordance with internal and external regulations) as well as further administrative questions in cooperation with interface areas within the UMG Accompanying ongoing EU or internationally funded projects (e.g. contract preparations, amendments, reporting) Target group-specific information provision on current tenders and funding opportunities as well as the implementation of events on research funding Participation in relevant networks for research funding, contact care to funders and project promoters Support in the strategic development of research management

Completed academic studies (master or comparable) Experience in science management or in the administration of third-party funded joint projects is desirable. Good knowledge of the national, European and international funding landscape, ideally with certified training (e.g. BMFTR certificate EU-Referent*in) Basic knowledge of topical, application-relevant topics such as research data management, open science, diversity/equality and promotion of young scientists Excellent communication skills in German and English in word and writing High level of initiative, organisational skills, reliable action even under time pressure, team skills and flexibility
