The St. Vincenz Hospital Limburg is a regional centre of competence for comprehensive medical care with 445 beds and treatment places. In more than 17 specialist departments as well as 18 medical care centers and special telephone hours, we treat approximately 30,000 patients in a stationary manner and approximately 80,000 patients at a high medical level. Our central emergency takeover takes over interdisciplinary emergency medical care for the Limburg-Weilburg region. The catchment area comprises about 250,000 people. With around 43,000 patient contacts every year, the Central Emergency Recording is one of the most powerful emergency recordings in Hesse. The supply is ensured by an interdisciplinary team from the fields of internal medicine, general medicine and anaesthesia on 365 days a year round the clock. The specialist departments Radiology, Neurology, General Surgery, Trauma Surgery and Orthopaedics, Urology and Vascular Surgery directly support emergency medical care. Clearly defined structures and optimized processes form the basis for patient care at the highest level. The central emergency room includes a receiving station with 8 monitor beds. In addition, our house is regional trauma center (DGU), part of the Cardiac Arrest Center (GRC) and the regional Stroke Unit. The St. Vincenz Hospital Limburg also operates an emergency medical facility and works closely with the network of established doctors in the region as a central partner.

Senior Consultant (m/w/d)

This is what awaits you: In our central emergency room you will find a wide range of interdisciplinary clinical acute and emergency medicine with modern infrastructure and clearly established supply standards.

The central emergency room has: • 2 shock rooms, including 1 non-traumatological and 1 traumatological shock room • 15 treatment sites fully equipped with monitoring • a recording station with 8 beds, also fully monitor-monitored

The focus is on interdisciplinary clinical acute and emergency medicine, in particular from an internalistic and general medical point of view. The traumatological shock room supply is structured according to ATLS standards. For non-traumatological shock room supply, we are geared to ACLS standards.

Your range of activities includes: • Respiratory management and anesthesia • Beatmungstherapie mit NIV, invasive respiration and high flow • Installation of vascular accesses including ZVK and dialysis catheters • Circular therapy and emergency sonography

A modern technical equipment is available for your daily work.

This includes: • Medical base • 2 sonography devices • special area for wound care • mobile X-ray / image converter • Mobile Work PCs • Digital documentation system including AI-assisted dictate function

This convinces us: We are looking for a medical personality that carries out clinical emergency medicine with commitment and understands the central emergency as an independent interdisciplinary field.

They bring with them: • Approbation or professional licence according to § 10 BÄO • specialist qualification in a medical field • safe competence in intensive and emergency medical measures and interventional interventions • Additional name ‘emergency medicine’ or ‘specialist rescue service’ desirable • Additional name ‘Clinical acute and emergency medicine’ or an almost completed training in this area as a prerequisite • very good knowledge of German at least C1 level to ensure safe patient communication and interdisciplinary cooperation
