Manager Occupational Safety, Germany (m/f/d)

As an active member of the Global Safety Team, you work closely with the location management and the local security expert network to promote the implementation of the integrated Symrise Safety Roadmap at the German locations Holzminden, Braunschweig and Nördlingen. Together with the local management and the experts for technical and environmental safety of our German subsidiary, Tesium GmbH, you are responsible for implementing the introduced security programs and initiatives. This is a full-time position to be occupied at our global headquarters in Holzminden. Conducting audits of security and support performance in implementing clear and feasible improvement plans Identification, use and implementation of best practices in the field of safety in coordination with the Global Safety Team Coordination of safety directives at German sites in cooperation with the main stakeholders, such as: the functional and operational management, Tesium, the works council or members of the Committee on Safety at Work Ensuring compliance with German safety standards, regulations and requirements Implementation of inspections and audits and support in carrying out critical risk assessments Implementation of security training at all levels of the company and introduction of field-oriented coaching Provision of pragmatic support in the implementation of safety initiatives, prioritisation of measures and the application of control measures for risks and risks at the site

Higher education in the field of safety, environment or other relevant discipline At least 10 years of health and safety experience, preferably in the food, chemical or pharmaceutical industry. Experience in successful cooperation with safety committees, site management and safety bodies, as well as in work across multiple sites proven good skills in communication, team coordination and employee management Proven knowledge in the implementation of security training for managers, middle management and operational level Professional mastery of the German and English language in word and writing Good knowledge of German and European safety regulations, standards and standards
