Type of employment: Unlimited Working time: Full time Place of work: Reutlingen In the eBike Systems division, we develop innovative products and services that make eBikes even more fascinating – from highly efficient drives to the first standard ABS for pedelec to smart connectivity solutions. For a sustainable mobility that is fun. In this position, you are responsible for the development of planetary gears and their components such as gear wheels, shafts, running gears, bearings and freewheels, opting for construction, NVH, life and weight. The industrialization of these components will accompany you from the A-Muster to the series release and ensure compliance with deadline, quality and cost targets. You will take care of the tolerance calculation, the component design, the drawing dissipation as well as the comprehensive documentation and explain technical details with suppliers. Validation patterns and tests You independently instruct, interpret the test results obtained precisely and guide targeted improvement measures. You advance the development of running gears for new eBike drive unit platforms by using innovative technologies and materials and developing new methods for gear design and assessment. Last but not least, you actively encourage collaboration with central research and external partners to promote knowledge sharing and technological development.

Training: completed university studies in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering with a focus on product development, engineering or a comparable degree programme; Promotion in the field of transmission technology, in particular planetary gears, of advantage experience and know-how: several years of professional experience in the development of gears (in particular planetary gears) and industrialization of gears, running, pass gears, shafts, rolling, sliding bearings, freewheels, shaft hub connections; well-founded knowledge of the associated manufacturing technologies such as machining technology, turning, milling parts, heat and surface treatment, hard machining, powder metallurgy, forming technology; safe handling of CAD tools such as ProE/Creo, KissSoft /-Sys, MASTA or FVA workbench as well as MS Office Personality and working methods: You succeed in communicating openly and clearly and actively in teaming; You go creatively and autonomously, consistently pursue your goals and always work structuredly Languages: very good German and English in word and writing *The gross annual salary for this body is, according to our regulations, at least EUR 86,000 for a 35h week (for a full year of employment and fulfilment of the tariff requirements).
